Open garden gate with pottery and printing art

On July 1, 2023, became the day when beautiful garden estates opened their doors to all nature and art enthusiasts. These private "green oases" are located in various corners of Linz to showcase the diversity and originality of garden culture to the world. We took advantage of the hosts' hospitality and attended this event.

One of the most attractive gardens open to visitors is located in Linz am Rhein at Am Sändchen 8. This garden, created by Sabina and Horst Moshammer, impresses with its beauty and abundance of plants. It is hidden behind a brick wall and holds many treasures. In front of the former stable building, which now houses a ceramics workshop, you can enjoy the view of blooming perennials, hydrangeas, lilies, roses, ferns, and hostas.

However, in addition to all of this, the garden also offers something special - amazing ceramics that shimmer with summer light, created in the ceramics workshop located in the garden. This unique combination of nature and art gives this place a distinctive charm and makes it appealing to all beauty lovers.

In the ceramics workshop, we got acquainted with the process of creating ceramic pieces. The workshop is a creative space where all the magic happens. We were surrounded by art, various tools, and materials necessary for creating ceramic masterpieces.

During the tour, we had the opportunity to meet with experienced ceramist Sabina Moshammer, who shared her knowledge and expertise with us. She told us about various sculpting and pottery techniques, explained the process of working with clay, and talked about the variety of ceramic pieces that can be created.

The second workshop that welcomes guests at this event belongs to Desirée Wickler. She is a renowned artist and specialist in hand printing. We had previously attended her stunning exhibition in Linz titled "Eldorado - Ein Totentanz." In her hand printing studio, she creates amazing works of art on paper. Desirée gave us the unique opportunity to see her works and enjoy their beauty. The setting under the large trees in the city center provided the perfect backdrop for this meeting and created an atmosphere of tranquility and inspiration.

This event became a wonderful opportunity for garden design and art enthusiasts to draw inspiration and discover new creative horizons. The open garden gates with ceramic and print art left a lasting impression in our hearts, as we not only got to enjoy the beauty of the plants and see unique artistic works but also spent time in pleasant company, exchanging impressions, and inspiring each other.
