Our creative group visited an incredible exhibition that left no one indifferent. The theme undertaken by artist Désirée Wikler touches all of us because her works are dedicated to the pressing issues of modern society.

Artist Désirée Wickler shared her experience of creating her exhibition "Todestanz" and conducted a guided tour of the Markt9 exhibition hall. This interesting meeting took place with the support of the Kunstverein Linz.

The visit to the exhibition in Linz became not only a source of inspiration and new ideas for the Ukrainian artists but also a valuable experience of art and cultural exchange. Everyone was impressed by the diversity and experimental nature of the German artist's works and admired her ability to convey her ideas and vision through her creations.

Désirée Wikler's chosen theme turned out to be universal and won the hearts of many visitors. She decided to embody motifs from Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem "Eldorado" in the form of a contemporary dance of death. Dance of death has a long history and usually depicts the transience of life and the inevitability of death, which comes to all people without distinction.

In her version of the dance of death, Désirée Wikler gives it a modern interpretation. She embodies grotesque and eccentric features of modern lifestyles in her works, allowing the "Dance of Death" to take place in everyday situations where people seem to have lost their sense of measure. Unlike medieval dances of death, often based on Christian motifs, Désirée Wikler explores such current topics as consumer addiction, the obsession with self-improvement, excessive parties, and a constant thirst for achievements.

The exhibition showcases paintings in which the artist conveys these contemporary phenomena with irony and depth. She uses vibrant colors and expressive forms to evoke an emotional response from viewers. Her works make us reflect on our own way of life, the scale and consequences of our actions.

The exhibition has become a significant event in the art world. It not only showcases the talent and creativity of the artist but also raises important social and cultural questions relevant to many countries, including Germany and Ukraine. Désirée Wikler's works make us contemplate the values and priorities in our lives and what people become in a world dominated by consumerism and the pursuit of constant development.

Désirée Wikler's works raise profound questions that will leave visitors perplexed, excited, and perhaps inspired to embrace positive changes in their own lives.

Visiting this unforgettable exhibition has been a valuable experience that has expanded the horizons of the artists and inspired them for new creative endeavors.

The exhibition is open from 3.06 to 25.06.
